PulseDirect gives new look to Long Island University marketing
Direct-mail campaigns boost admissions for the school’s Continuing Education Department at C.W. Post Campus
Elizabethtown, PA – Long Island University has found a powerful new way to connect with prospective students.
Teaming up with the marketing experts at PulseDirect, the C.W. Post Campus of LIU is turning heads with exciting new direct-mail campaigns and course materials for its Continuing Education & Professional Studies Institutes.
The new campaigns have targeted prospective adult students throughout the New York region, touting the benefits of continuing education for pursuing a new career or advancing in a chosen field.
“For over a decade, PulseDirect has been offering effective direct marketing solutions for higher education institutions,” says Chris Flohr, president of PulseDirect. “Our expertise in the industry allows us to develop and execute several powerful campaigns for C.W. Post, all customized to their unique marketing goals.”
To date, PulseDirect has developed three direct-mail campaigns for C.W. Post, including two postcards and a brochure. Each campaign was designed by Pulse’s in-house creative staff and executed through the agency’s one-stop printing and mailing services.
Pulse also redesigned the department’s Spring Semester Course Catalog, one of the school’s most vital marketing components. Creating a completely new look for the catalog, Pulse was faced with the task of developing a design that better represents the university and its initiatives.

“In today’s fast-paced world, first impressions are everything,” says Mark Scheetz, vice president of PulseDirect. “Our goal as a creative agency is to take C.W. Post’s distinguished programs and frame them within a design that engages prospective students from the second it hits their hands.”
Based in Brookville, New York, the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University offers 235 degree programs to 8,500 full- and part-time students. The Continuing Studies department includes nine institutes, offering certificate programs, non-credit courses and career workshops. At its original Brooklyn, NY, location, founded in 1926, Long Island University offers 195 academic programs to an additional 13,000 students.
“The team at Pulse Direct is creative and responsive,” says Dr. Pamela Lennox, associate provost at C.W. Post. "They always produce professional results in a timely manner.”
